Ack! Those pesky home improvement expenses always seem to creep in just when you're about mod your car. At least it may up the resale value of your home. I'm beginning to think i should avoid buying a house.lol

Yup home ownership is great. We just got hammered with rain this last weekend bigtime (10.5" in 3 days) and my basement has water in it. We have gotten water before when it has rained badly. We have a finished room and a 'utility' (unfinished) section in the basement. We had water all under the floor and I checked into it more and there is water all under the finished room... meaning I am gonna end up ripping the finished room apart to get to the water. Previous homeowner must have been some Joe Blow DIY carpenter but he half-assed the room(s) in the basement so I get to take apart all his work and do it right. Gonna have a company come in and waterproof the basement before we re-frame it, etc. Sucks, and it's $$$, but the good thing is we'll be able to do whatever we want with the basement. I'll still have a utility room with a tool bench, etc., and probably a workout/tv area in the other half. Pain in the balls.

Haha yup. We are dropping $15k+ into the wedding etc. and I'm trying to justify spending $250 to put a new supercharger pulley in the Mini haha
